The inaugural month-long Battle Born Burger Showcase has come to a close, and what an incredible month it was!

This Hunger Action Month, Let Your Tastebuds Take the Lead in the Fight against Hunger in Our Community
This year, the Food Bank has teamed up with some of our favorite local restaurants and food trucks to bring some extra sizzle to Hunger Action Month with the Battle Born Burger Showcase-Showdown.
Burger Showcase: September 1-25
Spend the month visiting our Burger Showcase participants, on a mission to sample burger after burger (after burger!) – how else will you decide which one to cast a vote for as your favorite? One look at this list of featured burgers, and we think you’ll agree Hunger Action Month is the perfect time to schedule ALL of those overdue dinner dates with friends and family.
Make a Difference with Every Tasty Bite
Participating businesses will each feature a special Hunger Action Month burger on their menu and donate $1 from each burger sold to the Food Bank. All donations from burger sales will be matched by Meat Elevated by Rich Jersey LLC. That means every burger sold will provide 6 meals for neighbors served by Food Bank programs. We can already feel our tastebuds doing a happy dance – can’t you?!
Beef and Applewood Smoked Bacon Patty, House Rub, Washington Apple & Bourbon Compote, Bruleed Wisconsin Cheese Curds, Honey-Mustard, Lettuce and Tomato on a toasted brioche bun
The famous NOLA Sliders smashburger topped with fried crispy onions, jalepeños, and BBQ slider sauce.
A combination of fresh ingredients and burning hot melting cheese served on signature local bread, this burger features ghost pepper jack cheese, bacon, avocado, jalapeños and siracha sauce on a jalepeño cheddar bun.
Freshly ground Black Angus beef patty topped with sauteed figs in a chocolate, blackcurrant Cassis liqueur sauce, brie cheese and arugula.
Beast Patty (a blend of bison, wagyu, elk and wild boar), crispy shallots, fresh jalapeños, new york white cheddar, bbq sauce, on a challah bun with house made pickle.
Battle Born Burger Showdown: September 30
We can’t think of a better way to wrap up a month of burger-ing than with a food truck party-meets burger competition. That’s why we’re heading to Idlewild Park on Friday, September 30 for the inaugural Battle Born Burger Showdown. We have a feeling you won’t want to miss this one.
