September is Hunger Action Month and across the country Food Banks along with Feeding America look for ways to bring real awareness and action to help the millions of people who face hunger on a daily basis. Record inflation and a high cost of living are driving families to make tough decisions every day. Families may have to choose between buying food and paying their rent, filling their prescriptions or other impossible choices. With all of us joining forces, we can make sure that no family has to make these choices. 
Now that you have heard the why, we want to give you the most delicious way to get involved. Introducing the Battle Born Burger Showcase-Showdown. We are asking restaurants and food trucks to join the fight against hunger with what they do best, make a delicious burger.
The month long campaign starts with the Battle Born Burger Showcase, a chance for restaurants to feature their best burger and share it with the community by donating $1 of each burger sold in September to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. With each dollar helping to provide three meals, every burger could feed a kid for a day! What is even more exciting is that Meat Elevated by Rich Jersey LLC is matching every $1 donated in the showcase, making every burger worth 6 meals to the community!
After a month of juicy burger tasting, we turn to the Burger Showdown giving these burgers a chance to compete with official judging and the public, all weighing in on their favorite. Burger creators will have a chance to win a stay at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, hamburger from Meat Elevated and, of course, serious bragging rights.
We are so excited to tell the world about these special burgers and interested restaurants and food trucks can register now to join us in all the delicious hunger-fighting fun.
Restaurants and Food Trucks need to sign up by August 15 so let your favorite burger establishment know they need to sign up!
