Free Meals for Kids During Spring Break
Kids Cafe will be open and serving lunch at four locations in Reno/Sparks during the Washoe County School District 2026 Spring Break.
- Meals are available at no charge for all children and youth ages 2-18.
- Children do not have to attend any programming being offered at the time of meal service in order to be served lunch.
- Meals need to be eaten on-site.
Spring Break Schedule — March 23 – April 2
- Mariposa Charter Academy — 3875 Glen St, Reno | 12-12:30pm Monday-Friday
- Washoe County Downtown Library — 301 S Center St, Reno | 11-11:30am Monday-Friday
- North Valleys Library — 1075 N Hills Blvd, Golden Valley | 11:30am-12pm Monday-Saturday
- Sparks Library — 1125 12st St, Sparks | 12:15-12:45pm Monday-Friday
KIDS CAFE DINNER PROGRAM
Throughout the school year, the Kids Cafe Dinner Program serves after school meals at several schools and community centers throughout the Reno/Sparks area. The dinner program does not run when school is not in session; however, during scheduled school breaks, lunch is typically available at a handful of sites across Reno/Sparks.

- Meals need to be eaten on-site.
KIDS CAFE SUMMER MEALS Program
When school is out for summer, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada’s Kids Cafe Summer Meals Program provides free, healthy meals for children and teens ages 2–18.
Meals are served at community centers and other neighborhood locations throughout Reno, Sparks, and many rural areas. No registration or sign-up is required — kids just need to show up and enjoy a meal on-site.

Non-citizens and their family members may be eligible to participate in several programs operated by the Food and Nutrition Service, including meals for kids.
