Friend of the Food Bank – Mixxd Generation
Mixxd Generation is a local company that promotes love and acceptance and denounces hate and ignorance. They do this through a very unique T-shirt business that celebrates multiracial people! Their designs for children use a clever metaphor of two mixed animals creating one wonderful and adorable one.
We like the folks over at Mixxd Generation. Robin and Kyle who started the business are caring people who are donating a portion of every t-shirt sold to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada’s Backpack kids program. The Back-Pack Kids program provides weekend food to chronically hungry and homeless children. The Food Bank distributes about 1,100 of these bags every weekend during the school year and all are funded by donations.
