And, it's oh-so-convenient to take part!

Letter carriers will pick up your non-parishable donation that you leave next to your mail box and deliver the food to our warehouse where it will be distributed to needy children, families and seniors.

CANstruction 2012

For the 9th year, The American Institute of Architects, Northern Nevada Chapter (AIANN) presented  CANstruction, a food raising event that features sculptures made of  cans and other food packages. This event is about competing as well as feeding.  CANstruction 2012 was in late March 2012 at Meadowood Mall.  The event benefited the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. Both professional and student teams created large art structures out of canned and packaged food. We received 18,181 pounds of food from the event and more than $550.

CANstruction is a visually stimulating and educational food drive that combines architecture, design, learning and planning.  It brings professionals in the architecture, design and construction fields together with students for a great experience that feeds people at the same time. If you want to get involved for 2013, please contact Bill Kolton via email  or by calling 775-331-3663, ext. 118.
